After all, you don’t want to go off into the wide blue yonder under dressed do you?

Available mid-September is the New Christopher Ward Vintage C8 Men’s aviation watch.

Based on the iconic IWC B-Uhren watch of 1940 (don’t worry if it doesn’t immediately spring to mind, it is a while ago now), the C8 Vintage Edition takes the already retro feel of the Mk 2 Pilot to another level with the introduction of military beige superluminova hands and indexes.

The soft iron anti-magnetic movement surround, fine automatic movement and unique case design are all as the original C8 Mk II. However, Christopher Ward have introduced a distressed leather feel to the substantial strap that further enhances the nostalgic mood this watch evokes.

Well, not a lot really. Were just going to have to wait, that’s all!

Still, we won’t be waiting for no good reason. Christopher Ward’s New C11 MSL MK1 Collection of mens watches are the real deal.

As you have to wait until September (but you can pre-order now!) to get hold of them I won’t make you wait any longer, I’ll just dive straight into the descriptions of these great mens watches …

C11 MSL MK1 Chronograph – Brown
The clean image of a modern jets altimeter has been the primary inspiration for the latest additions to Christopher Ward’s squadron of aviation models. Both the C11 MSL Mk1 Automatic and C11 MSL
Mk1 Chronograph are based on a completely new case design that places a circular dial in a case which has its facets smoothed off and decorated with vertical brushing. Four screws suggest the dials original location on a cockpits instrument panel.

The result is one of the most attractive conversions from an altimeter to a wristwatch. Based on the cockpits of fast jets the C11 MSL is indeed an interesting and fast paced addition to the range, whilst less workmanlike than some if its peers, the C11 MSL retains its functionality.

The striking contemporary approach, which is in contrast to the usual retro nature of a pilots watch, is based on a 42mm case in 316L surgical grade stainless steel. Finished with museum grade sapphire crystal and high density SuperLuminova markings and hands. Priced at £350.00

Christopher Ward's C60 Trident Pro Automatic range of Men’s watches now has two new companion colours – charcoal and green.

I’ve illustrated the charcoal colour C60 Trident Pro Automatic below, I like both new colours, but I chose charcoal because I wanted to impress you with the fact that I can spell charcoal. You see? I’ll demonstrate it again – charcoal! (Am I a good speler or am I a gud speller?)

Also, there’s a very nice picture of the green version in our main picture above.

The Trident series of watches from Christopher Ward unashamedly takes its design cues from the iconic 1954 Rolex GMT Master which was the world’s first ever dual-time watch – and the C60 Trident Pro Automatic is no exception.

Whilst the C60 Automatic can’t describe the time in two time zones simultaneously, like its stable companion the C60 GMT, this automatic, powered as it is, by the famous ETA 2824-2 / Sellita SW200-1 movement is a premium diving watch which has been engineered for perfection and that famous Swiss precision.

It also looks so cool on the wrist and apparently everyone at Christopher Ward (including the women) wants one!

Christopher Ward has done it again!

But you will have to wait until September at the earliest to get hold of the new Christopher Ward C700 Grande Rapide range of watches.

Driven by desire, a desire to make the C700 one of the most affordable automatic chronographs on the Swiss watch grid, the Christopher Ward C700 Grande Rapide certainly takes pole position (to use the racing vernacular).

The C700 features a dramatic carbon fibre dial made from the same extraordinary material used in the aerospace industry, the military and Formula 1 (Christopher Ward knows a thing or three about F1!), and has been created for people who prefer to make the most of every second and observe their rivals in their rear-view mirror.

There is a choice of a stainless steel bracelet, a leather strap or a rubber strap (as shown in the rather snazzy example above), which mirrors the dial with its polished chequered design.

The C700 has a 30 minute and 12 hour counter as well as a 60 second chronograph (ideal for timing those racing drivers), which has a circular guilloche pattern at its heart and is inspired by a rev counter continuing in the the motorsport vein.

A crystal exhibition back provides a clear view of the engine, the elabore version of the Sellita SW500 automatic movement which is a mechanical work of art in itself.

Finally, Superluminova strips on the hands as well as the dial ensure theres never a need to be in the dark when it comes to managing time.

The C700 is Designed in Britain by Christopher Ward and hand assembled by the company’s own atelier in Switzerland.
