Well, it’s only until the end of July – less than sixteen days. I won’t go into how many hours, minutes and seconds that may be. We all have a weekend to get on with after all!
But the news is that you can soon get hold of Christopher Ward’s C90 Beckett's – Power Reserve in it’s latest colour.
As with all Christopher Ward watches, it has a bit of history. The news that Silverstone had succeeded in extending it’s right to stage the British Formula 1 Grand Prix for a further 17 years caused the petrol heads at Christopher Ward to jump into action and try to celebrate this excellent news.
The Christopher Ward’s C90 Beckett's – Power Reserve design has a subtle retro feel (more Stirling Moss than Lewis Hamilton) and features a superbly crafted multi-layered precision dial incorporating the 45 hour power reserve meter which is the outward expression of the complex Valgranges ETA A07.161 Automatic movement.
The power reserve movement has been specially customised by ETA for the C90. Sorry to get ‘techy’ but we just can’t help ourselves!
It’s been said that owning and wearing this magnificent timepiece may not quite match the excitement of taking one of Silverstones famous corners in a Formula 1 car but I’m not so sure.
A Review from a customer probably put it better than I ever could so I’ll just quote verbatim what they said:-
Just received my C90 and must say it is a stunning watch. Up there with the Top Marques. It just oozes quality and sits very nice on the wrist. The exhibition back really adds to the enjoyment of the watch. The face is very clear, uncluttered and precise. If there is a down side it is the fact you have to take it off sometime. Ray.
